Haydens 6 months!!

I cant believe how fast Hayden is growing! Here are his stats from his six month appointment!Weight- 18lb 14 oz 67%
Length- 28.25 in. 92%
HC- 17.7in 77% He is getting to me so much more fun! He likes to sit and chat with us! He is really happy most of the day, but so loud.

He is getting to be such a great sitter for a few weeks now he can sit for hours at a time just playing with toys which is so nice not to have to hold him while he stands! Coleton and him are becoming such good friends! Coleton helps get him toys and if he falls over coleton will pull him back up to play! Hayden will also stay happy alot longer if Coleton sits next to him and plays! The older Hayden gets the more grateful i am that i had them so close together, they really are going to be best friends!

Helping the Huffs

Brandon has alot of fun doing woodworking projects but since most of the big projects are done in our house he needed to find someone elses house to work on. The Huff family just moved back to Cedar City at the beginning of the school year so they are still getting adjusted to there new house. They were needing some cabinets put in so Brandon volunteered his handy work and we spent the day with them. They have three adorable girls Lilly, Avery, and there newest Alison and Coleton had a blast spending the day with them. While the boys worked the rest of us played with toys, had a picnic, some took naps, and watched some movies it was such a fun day and Brandon cant wait for the next project!

Grandpas Temple Work

Brandon and I started our romance on our way home from our thanksgiving break. By the time christmas rolled around, we had been dating for about a month, so for most of christmas all we had were late night phone calls. Brandon would be flying out to Colorado for a cousins wedding so we planned on being apart till school started back up. Two days after christmas, Brandon gave me a call telling me that there was blizzards going on in Colorado and he would no longer be heading out and he wanted me to come visit him in Cedar City. Storms were expected to be coming so my dad said that I could go but i had to leave with in a thirty minute time period. I was not yet dressed for the day and wasnt packed, so as quickly as i could i got myself looking nice (i was meeting his parents for the first time) and my mom started to throw clothes and essentials in to my car to make out thirty minute deadline. I left the house with only seconds to spear but was off to see him. It was a five hour drive and as i arrived at his house, flakes started to fall. While i was inside meeting his family, the snow came down quickly and within an hour my car was completely covered in snow (you would never now there was a car there) and we were snowed in for a little over three days. This Christmas was special for me in many ways, Brandon and I of course wished that we could have been together but what was special for me was what the storm did in bringing me closer to the Comstock family! That was the first time that i was able to spend time with his sister and her family, Brandons parents, and the most special was Brandon grandpa Wilfred Comstock but everyone called him Bill. Grandpa Comstock was a great man. He was quiet, loved woodworking (carving), and Brandon often reminds him that he was "grandpa cookie house" because they had a cookie jar that was filled with oreos that he often ate with him. Brandons dad is convert to the gospel but Grandpa Comstock had not yet excepted the gospel. That Christmas storm he was suppose to be heading back to Mesa, Arizona the day i came but the storm snowed him in and i had the opportunity of spending a few unexpected days with him! After the storm had calmed enough for him to head out he did. Brandon and I headed back to school, became engaged, and were married on June 9, 2007. Since Grandpa Comstock was unable to come to the sealing, he was expected to be at the reception the following Saturday. Sadly, two days before he was expected to be with us for the reception, he passed away. This past week Brandon, Brandons parents, and I were able to go to the St. George Temple together and do Grandpa Comstocks temple work. It was the first time that Brandon and I have done temple work for someone that we knew personally and we were so humbled to have been able to take part in this special event. Brandons parents will be heading up to the Salt Lake City Temple (were we and and both our parents were sealed) on their 30 year anniversary to have Grandpa and Grandma Comstock sealed together. I look back now at that unusal cedar city storm, that i barely made it to, and am grateful to have been able to go down and spend a few days with Grandpa Bill Comstock.

Getting in Shape!!

With Brandons long family history of heart problems, we know full well that he needed to be in shape! With Brandons dad having his heart attack almost two years ago we have made alot of adjustments to keep our family healthy. We try hard to eat whole grains, home cooked meals, fresh fruit and vegetables, but we have not been the best at the exercising. We go out walking almost every night for an hour or so but we know that Brandon will need more then that to stay healthy so he has started running! We figured that we needed to get before and after pictures so here are the before pictures. I wont post his weight but we are hoping for him to hit the 200lb mark soon but we will see. He goes each night around eight and then normally comes home to put Coleton in bed so Coleton normally gets to enjoy stretching with Brandon....
He has been starting out slow but is hoping with in the next little while to run a 5K! Right now we are just glad that he will be getting in shape and be around for a long time!

Emma and Niah

I got an e-mail a few weeks back from a women in my ward wondering if i would be interested in watching two little girls on fridays while her and her sister worked? Knowing that i am home all day anyway with no car and really no place to be, i told her " why not give it a try and see?". Of course i was a little nervous to watch four kids ages 6 months(hayden), 14 months (Niah), and two 2year year olds (coleton and Emma) who are both potty training but i was shocked to see that it went really smooth! They all have alot of fun together and get along really well! Here is some pictures from the day.
We had a lot of fun and Coleton has a lot to learn about playing with two girls but we are excited to have them play every friday!!

First Day and Fun at the Washington Fair!

Brandon started school two days ago!! He has prepared all summer to start by getting his room once again decorated! This year is Doctrine and Covenants so he is focusing on the Basic doctrines in his room decor. Along with it being the first day of school, it was also the first day of the washington county fair which i was so excited for!!
We spent a few dollars and let coleton go on the little train with Brandon and I and let him go down the big slide which he really loved! And since it is the fair we went and saw all the animals! It was in the 100s so we only stayed for a little while but by the time we were done both boys were exausted! It was an exciting day and we were happy that everyone had fun!

Utah State

This weekend Brandon and Ryan Huff headed up to Logan for registration at Utah State University for their Masters Program in Instructional Technology. They were up early, Monday morning, to be there at noon. They meet teachers, toured campus, met the other students in his program, went over syllubus, and to go through the well known ropes course. They stayed two days and then headed back for Brandon to start school and Ryan to go see his little girl that had just joined there little family just five days earlier. Though they are not sure if it was worth the time up there, they had a lot of fun hanging out together and are looking forward to starting classes in a few weeks.

Our Honeymoon! Heading home!

After checking out of our lodge, we started the drive home! We were sad to be done with our first vacation together but we were excited to see the boys for the first time in five days! We arrived back at Brandons parents house to have a really warm welcome from both boys! Joleen did an amazing job watching them for us! We knew they were safe and we knew that they were getting more attention then ever but they both were excited to have us back! With in about fifteen minutes they both cuddled up with us and fell asleep (which they dont do with us)! We were glad to be back with the boys and are so appreciative of Brandons parents for allowing us to leave the boys! It was a great honeymoon but now back to normal life!!
