Happy Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I just love to dress up as something new and see all of the cute costumes that the kids are in. This year we had two halloween parties to go to. We had the accidental invite and our neighborhood trunk or treat. Coleton had two outfits for them...The first was a dalmation puppy that we recieved that was thin and was worn when we went to the party that was inside so he would not get to warm everyone at the party loved it. The second was a pumpkin that was given to us that was warm and fuzzy so we wore that to the trunk or treat and he stayed nice and warm. Everyone loved this outfit to and he loved watching all of the kids in their costumes. With Coleton as a pumkin, i was a cow girl, and Brandon was a doctor (since we are so new everyone kept asking Brandon if he really was a doctor because Grandma Cheney embroiderd "DR COMSTOCK on the lab coat so he looked official). We didnt take Coleton door to door, it was windy and he was ready for bed after the trunk or treat but our little family had such a great time together and cant wait til next year when Coleton will be a little older and will understand it a little more. Happy Halloween!

Fun little activities!!

For family home evening we decided to carve pumpkins which i love to do!
We got our ideas of what to carve from other peoples blogs,
Brandon choose to carve our name and a really cool face!
Trick or Treat! Can you find the little mistake that was made???
Here is my mummy! I had a blast doing it!
We had an interesting experience this past week! On sunday night we got a message on our answering machine while we were visiting Grandpa and Grandma Wiser. It was a women "Linda" who was inviting us to a halloween party on Wednesday night. We knew that we knew her because our number is so new and she called the comstocks on the message. We checked our ward and stake directories and she was not on either so we figured she must be with CES. The next morning i called her back and left a message telling her we would love to come. When Brandon came home he told me that there was no "Linda" that worked at his office and that CES was not having a party on Wednesday. Confused, we decided to go along with her knowing that she did know us some how. I talked on the phone with "Linda" about six times, and after a while i realized that "Linda" didnt know who we were. Embarrassed, i made Brandon call her the day of the party to let her know she must have called the wrong comstock. (we knew that Mark Comstock (unrelated) was a high school teacher also who lived close to her as well) As Brandon talked to her we determined that she had called the wrong number and realized later that she had made a mistake! She told us that we were more that welcome to come, thinking it was a funny story we went and had such a great time! Come to find out the club she is in (toastmasters) is an international club that helps people become better public speakers. We met alot of great people and another couple who has a six month old boy that we are going to have play dates with so all together it was great!
This picture is from a few months ago but this is one of my favorite date nights i have had! Since we have to stay home for most of them because of Coleton Brandon thought this up. These were on sale for a dollar each so we got $10 worth (one of each flavor) and tried them all, it was so much fun and we had lots of leftovers! (well kind of... i can eat alot of ice cream)

California here we come!

This past weekend we had the chance to go see our family in California! Brandons parents were up helping my sister-in-law while she was on bedrest with her third child so we though it would be fun to go down and see everyone. Brandons dad was staying at lodge in big bear lake so we loaded up a car we were taking down for his sister Candice and drove seven hours to the lodge. Coleton does not like car rides so i packed a bag of treats to bribe him with with things such as apple slices, puff cereal, suckers, prezel rods, carrots, and more. we also got a bag full toys and books which he loves. The ride went better than i ever thought and we made it there safe. We got there Wednesday night and stayed til monday morning since it was the hunt at school. We had the whole Comstock family there and had so much fun together. i was in charge of planning the meals for the whole family and i had a blast! We played games, went window shopping, and went to some cool places. Coleton loved spending time with his cousins and i think they loved it too! Coleton was so sad to get back in that car to come home. Sadly his cousin Grant got a bad cold while we were there and when we got home Coleton got sick with it too. We had a humidifier going full blast and had to suction is nose alot and he hated it but he is starting to get back to his normal self which we are glad to see. We were glad to see Candice and the family since it might be awhile til we are able to see them again we are just hoping that there little girl waits alittle so there are not any complications!

Our babys 6 months old!

Our little turned six months old! With that were able to go to the doctor! We went our new Doctor and got him checked out! He was healthy and growing! He now weighs 16lbs and is in the 80th percentile for height. He was trying to eat anything he could so...We started veggies as soon as he turned 6 months and he loved it! We have also had the chance to experience his first hair cut!! It was getting really long on top,

So i thought i would give it a try! He was really wiggly and wanted to know what i was doing,But it went really well i can spike his hair again so it went great! After laying him down for a nap i heard him giggling so i went in to check on him and this is what i found, i think it might be time to lower his crib!!Coleton is very against crawling and being on his stomach all together but he does like to scoot on his back so when i went to get him up from his nap this is how i found him (he lays in the middle the opposite way!) he was stuck!Brandon had to wake him up last sunday so we could head to church and normally Coleton is a light sleeper but he was so tired he didnt even notice when he picked him up so Brandon took a moment and just held and watched him while he slept, it was adorable!Coleton still takes about three naps but when he is up he wants to be entertained so we went to the library and found some movies for him,and he loved them, he was glued to the tv!He loves to lay on the sheep it has a little bump on its head that he uses as a pillow and watches TV!

For those who have not noticed in most of our picture Coleton has his utah jazz blanket that he sleeps with, its brandons favorite team. The season just started and here they both are watching ESPN for the Jazz highlights, Coleton loves sitting and watching with him and brandon loves it too!

My Little Man

I am having a hard time now finishing any meals! We sit down to eat dinner or lunch and Coleton Freaks because he wants our food so much! I felt so bad so i started to research what foods i really could feed him, i found that i could not give him anything more then rice cereal or milk. knowing that i decided to get creative! I decided to take some milk and make a popsicle with a pacifier and an ice cube tray!
I give him one while we eat and i dont hear a word from him!!
He did not use to be so messy when he ate but i think now he thinks its kind of funny!
Even more funny when he blows while he eats or sneezes! One day he really wanted a drink from my cup but i was not going to have back wash from him so i got a little tupperware and tried to teach him how to drink,He loved it but got water everywhere! I will have to get him a sippie cup. This one is my favorite he looks so funny!!
This new toy is suppose to be a toy that you sit up and play like you are driving a car....
but he seems to like using his feet better...
what a clever boy we have!
I know that he doesnt look happy in this picture but he was so happy! We were at the cedar high homecoming football game!
They had fireworks that we thought he was going to hate but to our surprise he was so happy when they started to go off!
His new trick is sing everything upside down!
He loves watching you upside down!
But he sure does look sweet!

I just love being home with him everyday, he is so happy and fun! Its amazing to watch him learn and grow!

Brandon At His Best!

Most of you already know that we are here in Cedar City because Brandon is teaching seminary at his old high school! It is so funny how you make plans for the future and they seem to always go a different direction then you plan! If you asked Brandon and me a year ago were we would be we would tell you that we would be still in Rexburg, both going to school, maybe i would be pregnant, and we would be planning on finding a job in Business financing but we are in Cedar city with a five month old, living in a nice house, teaching seminary! We would never have thought. Well Brandon loves teaching more than i can even explain. He goes early in the mornings to class and teaches 14-18 year olds and can not get enough. For all those who know him well it fits his personality! He has been evaluated about 6 times and they really love his teaching style. Next month we will be having a man from salt lake city come and watch which is a little nerve racking! Here are some pictures of Brandons class room, office, and props he uses for class...enjoy! Classroom wall! This took days (more like weeks) they are all wood and painted.
Were he actually teaches from!
Other side of his classroom!
Classroom from his view!
From the front again!
Him wearing his camel mask (entering the kingdom lesson) and Large serta sheep!
Head on a platter(John the Baptist)
Here is a crown of thorns, the count from seseme street, twelve oil lamps from Isreal.
A sailor and a lighthouse (theme is lighthouse for this year) and sparkling cider bottle.
And a view of his office from the door you can see some of the other props such as a real sword on the top with a ox yoke, a large pile of rocks, a rocket glider plane and much more. Brandon is loving it so much we are just dieing to know what the Lord has in store for us in April when they do the full time hiring we sure hope that things work out so that he can keep teaching!!
