Memorial Day Weekend!

For Memorial day weekend we decided we needed to do something so we started making plans for an exciting weekend! Saturday morning we decided to go ride horses with one of Brandons old students (Hanna) and her dad!

We had a great time the boys loved it and we each got to ride on our own which was new for us (i even got to a gallop!)

Later that afternoon,  we headed to Cedar City to see Brandons parents. It would be the first time that we took Brooklyn over night at there house so i wondered how she would do. We headed there on Saturday evening, went to church with them on Sunday and then left Monday evening. We were able to go to Bradys grave and get some pictures with the boys

and were able to take Brandons dads sail boat out which the boys loved!!

Joleen even snapped some cute shots of Brooklyn!

It was a great weekend and we look forward to the rest of the summer!

Is It All In My Head??

I have been thinking about his question a lot lately. When i became pregnant, Brooklyn's pregnancy was so very different then the boys. I was so so so very sick, had different aches and pains then the boys pregnancy, and was convinced that it was because i was pregnant with a girl, and i was. I wonder though was 'it all in my head??' Well now she is here and it seems like everyone ask me "so is it so much different having a girl??" and i once again have to ask myself 'is it all in my head'? I sit here holding my little girl and today she is in a white onesie, wearing no bow (to lazy to put one on her today), and there is really not much to distinguish her as a girl. So shouldn't it feel the same? She is only three months, she does the same things as the boys did at her age? She eats, sleeps, giggles, and poops so why does it feel so different?? I cant seem to explain why but it does. She seems more sweet, more calm (thank goodness), and more cuddly. I know on a gospel level that girls have a different type of spirit, more nurturing, more i don't know more girly?? but i just didnt expect to notice it so early but to all those who have asked, still wondering , or interested in finding out the answer to "so is it so much different having a girl? even if it is 'all in my head' i would have to answer, "ya, it really is!"

Puffs Wedding!

The weekend of Brandons graduation happen to also be the weekend of my best friends wedding!! We had been roommates ever since our freshman year and i was lucky enough to head to here sealing on Saturday!! She was being sealed in the Bountiful Temple which worked out great since its 20minutes from my parents house! We were grateful to have my parents watch the kids while we went and we were even lucky enough to see Puff (Audrena Merrell) as she was heading to the dressing room before the sealing! It was so great to see her and she looked so happy!! The last time i saw her was three years earlier when she came to Kaysville while i was there to tell me she was going on a mission to Spain and would be getting her endowment out in a few weeks! Its amazing to me how some friends you can do with out seeing or talking to for so long and pick up just were you left off! I was happy to see that some of my favorite roommates were also at her sealing so i was able to catch up with Lyndi, Nicole, and Chelsie. It was a really fun afternoon and i was so glad to be part of her special day!

Brandons Graduation!!

This past weekend, we headed to Kaysville in anticipation of Brandons graduation!! We left Thursday night after a long day of packing (and watching a friends daughter) to get to my parents house. We decided to drive at night so that the three kids would be able to sleep which worked out pretty well. The boys slept during most of the car ride (waking about12am with still 2 hours to drive) but Brooklyn slept the whole trip! Hayden had not gotten a nap that day, since we were so busy so he actually fell asleep at 6pm and we moved him to the car about 8:30! Brandon slept for a few hours before we left but i had not so to keep us awake and alert we had President Monsons book on tape "to the Rescue" that we listened to which was really great. We got to Kaysville, got our stuff loaded in and off to bed we went. We each had to sleep with one boy and it worked out well. The next morning the boys played while we got ready for his graduation. Brandon left early so he could get his robes and we followed a few hours later. My parents had a neighbor that watched the boys (she had boys there same age) and they were so excited! We took Brooklyn with us and off to Logan we went! We were a tad late but it was fine because the ceremony started 45 minutes late so technically we were early :) We were sitting waiting for the graduates to arrive and i snapped this picture, awesome huh!!

Not really the video i wanted but this is the only one that would load??
There were alot of people there and Brandon was trying really hard to find us so...
We gave him a call :)
He founds us!
Singing of the National Anthem
He was heading to the stage.
(here is where i would have put the video of them announcing his name and walking across the stage but the video wont load :(
He is a Masters Graduate
He received a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology
Brandons parents came (Grandma and Grandpa Wiser were in Logan but stayed with family)
Brooklyn did really well during the graduation even though it lasted forever!!!
My parents were able to come also!
The ceremony ended with us going and getting free ice cream which was great!! We headed back to Kaysville to get the kids and were able to have my brother Curtis and his family come and visit that night! It was a great day for us. Something that we had worked really hard for and excited to close that chapter in our lives! Congrats Brandon!

Summer Fun!

With the weather getting warm, we have to do things to keep cool! We have a large array of sprinklers a giggle sprayer and this ball popper are the favorites! My kids really hate the sprinkler but we are getting more use to it!

For Coletons birthday he got a slip-n-slide from the Bells and they had goggles in them and he loves them!! He wears them anytime he ever gets wet weather its in the sprinkler or at the splash pad!

And of course they love the sandbox, almost too much! Sand never seems to stay in the sandbox!!
