Horrible Dental Experience!

With insurance that covers dental cleaning, we decided to go get our teeth cleaned!! I needed a cap placed on a tooth which i have known about ever since i had braces but i got another shock while i was there. I had a root canal done about five years ago, they placed a cap on it and i was suppose to pretty much be set but while i was there he said that he thought there was a cavity under it but he was not sure so about a week later i went back to get a filling done on it. Well while working on it he said he was going to need to take the cap off of it becasue it seemed worse then he was expecting. A little nervous because when it comes to my teeth problems never seem to be little. He had me come back a few days later. During all of this i was unable to eat anything hard in fear it would damage both teeth that were not protected with solid caps so i was pretty much on super soft food or liquids (which came to last about three weeks :( So i came back expecting to have a filling and this is how it went down. As he was working on me i keep hearing the things you dont want to hear like "it goes all the way through here" and "that is not good" "this part is worse" pretty much nothing good! Well, it got to a point where he stopped and looked at me and said "Carleen, its worse then we expected. i need you too look at something" They handed me a mirror and i looked and was stunned! The tooth (which is the moler second to last in my mouth) was taken down to below my gum line! The roots where the only thing left. He said that he could build the tooth back up but suggested that i get it pulled out and get a bridge or implant. Not expecting this, i decided to get it taken out to avoid problems in the future. He said that there wasnt much i could do to have stopped it from getting to this point since it had been happening under the cap. That is not really what i wanted to hear! The other problem i have is my teeth dont come out! Most of my baby teeth had to be pulled out because they didnt fall out on their own so this tooth wouldnt come out. I had to sign a waiver saying that if they broke other teeth or my jaw they were not responsible which made me very nervous! They pryed and pulled, i heard things crack, blood was spraying everywhere and i was laying there in tears holding my jar so it would not break! It was horrifying. I know it sure makes the dentist look bad but he really was doing a good job it is just my teeth that were not cooporating! Brandon came to pick me up and they were wiping blood off my forhead and shirt. My blood pressure was really low from all of the bleeding and i emotionally was a mess! Thankfully Brandons mom was sweet enough to come help me with the boys the day after because i was on high medication and a tad emotional! In the next few months, i will have to get an implant which is not cheep (estimated to be about $$2,400) so i will have to find a way to take care of that but i hopefully will not have to have that happen ever again!! The pictures below are of the hole so dont look if you dont want to, i still have hard looking at it (these pictures are about three weeks of it healing)
Kind of horrifying huh! :(

Dude, it wasn't until I saw these pictures that I remembered I had a dream about you last night! You only had like 4 teeth left and I felt bad for you. I'm glad I read your post and reminded myself it's just one!
