Snow Again!

Brandon and I are definately not fans of cold weather! We love to play baseball, go on picnics, playyard games, and in general just be outside. Coleton seems so eager to get outside also, he would cry when Brandon would shut the door behind him cause he wanted to go outside with him and he will constantly look out our sliding glass windows when he is in his walker.. We were just so excited because in cedar the snow had finally melted but of course a few days after we said that, Coleton and i woke up to a sat realization....

The snow is not finished coming :( I was so bumbed out, we got ALOT more snow...

I think that Coleton was to a little sad, he just stared out the window all morning hoping i would let him out... Only a few more months buddy!

Fun in the Wipes!

I know, I know i should not be promoting his mischieveous acts but there are just somethings you have to let them do once. I will probably regret it later but i couldnt pass it up.......

He thought it was so fun and its not like i had to throw them away (just stuck them in my wipe container for the diaper bag) but when he started i went right for the camera. Hope everyone liked it!!

Our little scooter!

Our little guy can move! When he was nine months and still not wanting to crawl at all i started to worry but about a week ago our little one started to scoot. He is getting pretty quick and is loving the freedom that it brings! Everyone told us that we would regret wanting him to become mobile but i love it! He is so much more willing to play alone and doesnt need me to bring him toys constantly or move him, its been great! We thought that by ten months he would be walking cause he loves being in his walker and loves walking along furniture but since he knows how to scoot he hasnt wanted to walk as much but who know it might be walking by tomorrow?!?

Doctors Visit!

Well, we had our nine month appointment! Coleton now weights 18lbs 6oz and is in the 20th percentile, he is a little guy. And i cant remember how tall he really is but his height is in the 50th percentile and his head size is also in the 50th percentile! He got all of his six months shot at this appointment but they were out of one of them so we go back in two weeks to get his last one and then we are set with doctors appointments til he turnes one and thats coming up soon, Crazy!!

I cant believe i got it on tape!

These past few week i was unable to take very many pictures because my memory card on my camera was full so at the beginning of this week i decided to clear it. Well this morning while Brandon was at work I was doing dishes in the kitchen with Coleton and thought that while he was running around i would get a video of how fast he could run so for the first time in weeks i grabbed the camera to catch this on tape! (make sure to watch it to the end)

I was shocked that i caught that! It has never happened before and i am not quite sure why it happened? i think that he hit the laundry basket and it hit the button to make it go down but i could not believe it! He wasnt hurt just a little shocked! He loves running in his walker he got right back in started running like he had been, what a little guy we have!

Coletons 9 Months

Horray, our little guy is 9 months! Coleton is still our happy and very photogenic little man!

My dad took pictures of him and they turned out priceless he loved getting his pictures taken.

Coleton is becoming alot more mobile! He walks along all of the furnature and is starting to do a bottom scoot. He still will not crawl for the life of him, he instantly fusses when he accidentally gets put on his stomach.

He absolutely loving being around new people and in large groups. Church is his favorite because he can turn around and smile at the people behind us and they immediately start to play with him and he loves it, he is still considered the nephite baby in our ward (see earlier blog)

He is so curious and loves figuring things out on his own..and he wishes he could go outside all of the time, he follows Brandon out the door in his walker but he never makes it in time before the door closes!
Coleton has not been sleeping through the night like i was planning, the holidays really messed that up but he is getting back on schedule.

Coleton will eat anything anywhere! Since he still has no teeth at all, I made him some green beans blended and the texture is what i thought was so gross and the fact that they were not salted but i figured he would eat them and he did but his face was classic. We go to the doctor for his 9 month check up on the 20th of this month so we will see how big he is getting!

Play Corner!

When we took down our Christmas tree this year we had a corner that was empty and pretty big so we decided to make a play corner for Coleton so that we wouldnt have the toys laying in the middle of our living room. We have his bin of toys that are always there for him and my house looks cleaner because of it. It has also given Coleton the chance to really learn to play by himself. I can stick him in the square corner and he plays alone for a half and hour or more with out wondering were i am, and normally i am in another room doing some errand, its been great!

A new year!

Well with a year ending and a new one beginning, Brandon and i look back at all that has gone on in our lives this past year we can surely tell how the Lord has been in our lives. We really have been so blessed and now that we are being lead and directed in a path that we know the Lord has control over and we are so grateful. We look forward to the future in hopes that we will be able to work full-time with the church teaching seminary, be moved to where they might need us, maybe add a new member to our family, and who know what else we might face but we are excited for what may come and know that the Lord know what is best for our little family. We hope that everyone has a healthy, happy, and safe new year!

Merry Christmas

This year we had a blast at christmas! My mom and dad were so great to have the twelve days of Christmas for our little family. We got candies, books, ornaments, CDs, and alot of cute little items.

Coleton loved opening them each night and got really into it but i think he thought that the wrapping paper was a treat that he was getting to eat! On Christmas we got a calendar with all family pictures in it,a tent for our emergency supplies, pajamas for Coleton, and a family home evening book that my mom made, they were great!

Since we stayed in Cedar City for Christmas we had the chance to be with all of Brandons family. Since we were sick we didnt get to spend much time with them but we did have a little nativity reenactment on Christmas eve!

Candice was mary, Andrew was Joseph, Kate was baby Jesus, Grace was the angel, Brandon was the three wisemen, and Grant was the lion (note him in the corner of the picture) he just really wanted to be a lion, who could blame him!

Here is a picture of all of the grandkids except Grant, he was facinated by the tree!After reading about the nativity scene and Brandon reading The night before Christmas to Coleton the kids went to bed and this is some of what our little family got from Santa!Then on Christmas morning we opened gifts with the whole family!Brandon and I got an IPOD dock, itunes gift card, 5 disney DVDs, date night gift cards, a gift for a new windshield, cutting boards, and a flour sifter! Coleton actually cut his index finger pretty bad on my sifter and we thought we were going to have to go get one stitch but it finally stopped bleeding and we were able to bandage it up, but Coleton almost ate the bandage a few times so it was quite the adventure!Most of all we were grateful to have this little gift this year! We have been so blessed to have a healthy, happy, active little guy that we wouldnt be the same with out. He is such a blessing to us and cant wait to see when the Lord will bless us with another!
