Holiday Festivities

We have had a great start to the Christmas season!

There are quite a few pictures of crafts from the 12 days of Christmas my mom set for the kids!

Poor Herbert lost an arm, luckly Doc McStuffin was in and fixed him up!

We were able to spend some time with Grandma Lorna while Tom and Joleen were in Texas, we went to the temple to see the lights and we went to tuacahn to see the live nativity.

The kids cant wait for christmas to arrrive!

Grandpas Decline

We got the call the first week in December from grandma Wiser saying the grandpa had met with the cardiologist and his heart was weakening. It was beating at about 40 beats a minute and they gave him about two weeks to live. We have loved having Grandpa here is St george at the VA home so we decicided to go visit him. The kids really do love grandpa. He is sweet and loving, and even though he cant remember who they are, i dont think the kids even realize it because he loves makes it seem like he knows them so well. He doesnt say much but he is more then willing to play and tell them how cute and sweet they are while they are there!

We know that we dont have much time with him, but we will be so sad when he is gone!

Carleens 30th Birthday!!

With as crazy as our life has been with Brandon becoming the Young Mens President, Me as primary first councilor, Brandon teaching two classes online for BYU-Idaho, him taking the GRE and preparing for a doctorate program hopefully through Boise State, and Brandon working full time at the seminary while i get a house full of kids under control needless to say things have been crazy!! For my birthday i wanted a very low key birthday! I was in charge of preschool in the morning from 9:30-11:30 for kenzie and her class, then i was lucky enough to have my friends (Jessica, Karen, and Kara) over and we got take out! It was so fun!! Brandon gave me my present the day before (knew bed spread and sheets) so i was already enjoying it!! Then when Brandon got home we ordered some pizza, made some popcorn and watched one of my favorite christmas movies "The Santa Clause" it was great, then we grabbed some ice cream that night! it was perfect!
I have had so many people tell me how sad it is i am turning 30 but i am actually super excited to be out of my 20's with having kids younger i have always felt older than i really am and i am just excited for others to see that i am not this 20 year old that was crazy, 30 has a lot in store for me and i couldn't be more excited to get it started!!

Toy Story Toys

It always amazes me the things that i struggle to get rid of. I have talked may times about how i love to throw things out or give them away, but here is another item that was difficult! Here is out toy story set. We got it about six years ago. Coleton got it for Santa the first Christmas after we got into our house in Hurricane. This set was really expensive for us at the time, we were financially strapped on money, we had Coleton and Hayden, but were so excited to celebrate Christmas with two kids. Coleton was obsessed with Toy Story and we would have it on replay for him. I wanted this toy for him just as much as i wanted it to see his reaction on Christmas morning. We kept it and all the kids played with it as the sequels came out and it was a favorite toy for the kids that came over to play! we even lost our beloved jessie as her legs could handle the kids but the past few years its been out less, and with new toys coming in it was time to pass them on to someone knew just like Andy passed them on to Bonnie! Tyler Seal across the street is just like coleton and loves Toy Story so the other day we sent them over to him and i feel like we lost a little of that kid stage, which is sad but i am looking forward to what comes ahead for us. See ya later gang, we will miss you!
