With the baby getting bigger, i find myself sitting alot more and watching as the boys play. Coleton and Hayden are definately becoming best friends and like best friends they like the same things which can cause some difficulties!
We have been blessed so much to have neighbors who are more then willing to give us there hand-me-down toys like a very worn cozy coup. Both boys love it but they really only play with it when the other one wants it, same thing with toy story toys, the bikes, and trains. They have gotten the art of trading down pretty good though Coleton doesnt understand what makes a good trade so i have to help.
The other day Hayden was playing with a pretend phone which at the point Coleton wanted so Coleton decided to trade him for it. Upon deciding that, he grabbed a play banana and pretend it was a phone and tried to trade Hayden for the better one. Of Course Hayden caught on that it really wasnt that cool and said "no!" (which drives Coleton crazy when Hayden says no. They will have fights yelling no at each other, it gets a little rediculous) to it but after a little help from me, Hayden was willing to give it up for another play phone. Though Coleton sometimes doesnt understood how it worked, he has been able to use trading to his benefit like when his sippy cup is out of milk and Haydens is full he will trade his milk for Haydens milk to which both boys seem to be content?? good job Coleon!Coleton is going to be moving up to sunbeams in about a month and they have been taking him the last 20 minutes in to primary to get him use to the transition and he has come to love primary and singing time! For a while, no one was aloud to sing in the house without him yelling "no more song mommy!!" but now that he realizes that its pretty cool to sing, we find him singing quite often though he never seems to know the words and constantly repeats the same line over and over but we are loving the change!
Hayden is becoming a little boy and starting to talk like crazy. Coleton was always a good little talker so when Hayden started earlier it took us off guard! He says banana, milk, daddy, apple, spider, bob, more, ruff ruff, no, Buzz, woody, Thank-you, mine, mine turn, and many others. What is different from Coleton is Hayden has his own words for things... his blanket is Benny?? and bike is but? (so when he says he wants a bike for christmas he says he wants "a but!" which sure makes everyone giggle) and there are alot of times where i find myself translating what he is saying which i find funny. Hayden loves to vaccum (with the real vaccum and it has to actually be on!) and would do it for hours if i let him. To bad he is short enough that when he pushes it around he has to tilt it back so far it doesnt pick anything up ;(They both love to get out of the house and we try to get out and go to storytime or have a playdate with someone the boys age because they are not home bodies like me!
The boys have definately been daddys boys lately which makes me feel so much better with the baby coming soon. They love when he comes home for lunch and are heart broken when they wake up to find that dad has already left for work. Coleton for quite a while was not in to hugs and definately not in to giving anyone a kiss but recently he cries when Brandon leaves without giving him a couple of each!
When Brandon is home they wrestle, jump, dance, play games, and the boys look forward to him coming home everyday. With Brandon running so much recently Coleton thinks its pretty cool to take a little run with him and after Brandons Half-maraton race where he got a medal
Coleton wanted to run so he could get one also so after a run one night Brandon made him his own little medal which he wears quite often!Coleton is pretty facinated by the fact that i have a baby in my tummy and often wants to lay his head on my stomach to listen to her. Its pretty fun to see his face when she kicks him and how he will quickly say "baby, that is not nice to kick!" Hayden still has no clue other then the fact that he knows to say baby when he points to my stomach! Thought i would keep record of what they were up to because i would regret it later if i didnt!

With Elmos mouth wide open, Coleton couldnt help but fill it with things. We thought that it was pretty cute but never expected it from another child two years later....
Hayden is also very obsessed with Elmo and as i was cleaning up the kitchen the other morning i watched as Elmos month was once again being filled with a variety of things. After a few minutes he vanished and as i went looking for him this is where i found him...
After many things had been loaded into Elmos month, by both children now, Hayden realized it was time to brush Elmos Teeth? ok maybe gums!
He placed him in the sink, got his tooth brush with of course tooth paste,
and went to work telling elmo every few seconds "ahhh" so elmo would keep his month open.
Then of course after Elmo it was Haydens turn! :0) The two boys are so very different in so many ways but there are days like these were they dont seem so different after all!
But i noticed him right it time! He made it to the end, honestly it looked like it was a miserable run but he was so proud of himself for finishing under his estimated time. He was really wanting to make it under 2 hours and make it in 1 hour 58 minutes!!!! He got a pretty fancy metal for running the race and they had a lot of cool snacks for them afterwards!
We are just so proud of Brandon for sticking with running. There have been quite a few injuries that he has had to deal with blisters, foot strains, knee problem, back problems, and quite a bit more but he has kept running through all of them to keep himself healthy for the boys and me. He has lost quite a bit of weight (though i have been gaining it with the pregnancy) and he is looking and feeling great! Keep up the good work, Honey!!
M&M's!! We had two little M&ms and we were the packages!! Almost everyone asked if i made the costumes and though i would love to take credit for them, i did not. Brandons mom made these costumes when Brandon was the little green M&M so she was sweet enough to let us borrow them! Everyone seem to think they were pretty cute so i think we were a hit! This year we went to the community center halloween party which was held on saturday night which the boys loved and then on Monday night we went to our wards trunk-or-treat.
Coleton and Hayden had a great time and we got a good little stash of candy.
After hitting all of the cars, we passed a few pieces out and then headed home to pass out candy for those trick or treaters coming through the neighborhood.
The boys seem to enjoy passing out the candy more then trick-or-treating themselves. Coleton loved running to the door throwing the door open and yelling "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" as he then searched through the bowl of candy deciding which candy would be best for each indivdual child. Some of the kids were waiting a couple of minutes to recieve a snickers but everytime i would tell him to hurry because the kids were waiting he would say in a destressed voice "Im trying to hurry mom!" He just wanted to make sure that everyone got just what they wanted ;)
Hayden just tried his hardest to get a piece of candy into someones bag which only happened probably twice all night. As each child left our house, Coleton yelled once again, "Bye, Happy Halloween!" By the end of the night, we were all exausted and ready for bed but the boys had a lot of fun and this year halloween was a success!
We are excited to announce that we are expecting a little girl!! I know if you look at the fine print this isnt really from our ultrasound (my pictures are not downloading) but you get the point! I have thought all along that it was a girl but it still is hard for me to process the thought of having dolls, bows, barbies, and pink in the house. Coleton is super excited to have a little girl and talk about her coming all of the time so we cant wait! We have alot of things to get organized but we have plenty of time to get there!
I have absolutely loved having two little boys, its alittle crazy but they are so close i would not want it any different!

All the way around, i just love having a family of boys but with my 20 week ultra sound coming up in a few day i have to realize that this might change. I would love to have another boy to add to the fun but but with this pregnancy being so very very different i have a feeling we might be adding some pink to the mixture???

For those who are unsure of what that is at the parks here they have the rubber tire chips instead of wood chips.
Since there is always a puddle under the swings which both boys love, the water becomes black from the tire chips and stains everything and of course Hayden always gets messy.
We seem to loose alot of outfits when we got to the park but he still looks cute even covered in rubber water;)
