Brandon hard at work!

While I was at my sisters watching the five children, Brandon was up to something fishy at the house. Every time i called he seemed to be a tad distracted and would tell me that he was making somethings special for coleton and i! Unsure of what he could be doing when we came home this is what we had found....Upstairs in the nursery he put up some greenery, made the pictures on the wall (from scratch may i add!)Hung the monkey back on the wall, found the rocker glider on craigs list for a sweet deal...and hung the clock and shelf. I love it! It was just what i wanted it to look like! Though i love the nursery, Brandon is most proud of Coletons room....He wanted to make it have a car theme so once again he found a great deal on craigs list and got the car bed..Found a car mat at Target and went online to find some real street signs.. He also redid some of our old furniture to make some really cute bool shelves along with getting some old license plates to hang up!
Everything looks adorable and Coleton absolutely loves it. He put alot of time and effort into designing everything and the pictures just dont do it justice! Thanks honey!!

Carleen Comstock Halle!!

I had a chance this past week to try out having five kids! My sister Cristeen, was hitting her ten year anniversary and her husband planned an amazing cruise so i agreed to watch their four children while they would be gone! She has Spencer, 7, Jenna, 6, Breanna, 3, and Benjamin, 18 months, so with Coleton, 18 months, it was quite the adventure! They left on a thursday and return a wednesday and with no way to get a hold of them or talk to them through out the week we had some interesting moments.Along with the normal daily activities of breakfast, getting ready for school, homework, dinner, naps, bedtime(with practically twin 18 months olds)and keeping things cleaned up, we had alot of fun. We went to chuckie cheese one of the days, Mcdonalds one day, they had their primary program(which was adorable), had Spencer home sick one day, played some games, played the wii, watched cartoons, and played outside (when the weather was nice). Though i absolutely love my neices and nephews there were moments during the week when i wondered to myself "what have i gotten my self into" but in the end everything turned out great. Cristeen and Brian came home to four safe kids, not really so healthy (just barely missed them all getting sick when i left), they were glad to have both parents back. The week went great and i decided that having five wouldnt be bad if they were as good as these ones are!!

Fun in Hurricane!!

It has been really fun adjusting to our new life in hurricane!
#1 We love the weather!!
It always seems warm we have great summers, great winters (consisting of no snow) and great weather in between!
#2 We love our backyard!
With the great weather, having a back yard with grass is great to go out and play or just sit out and chat at nights, we love it!
#3 We love the activities

We have had a chance to be part of a lot of activities because Brandon works at he school. The seminary teachers do the chains at the home high school football games. The picture of Coleton was right before we went to the high school home coming parade which he really enjoyed

#4 We kind of enjoy little projects? This one i am trying to convince my self that we enjoy them...We have been spending most Saturdays working on projects and though Brandon likes being a handyman, i think Coleton likes the projects more!

#5 We love visiting Brandon when we can!

Coleton really likes heading to the seminary and seeing Brandon. Coleton really loves drawing on the dry erase board.

Some draw backs are...

We don't enjoy the wind..

Brandon put up my fall scare crow and the newt morning it was gone! The wind blew him away but no need to worry we found him!!

Another thing I don't enjoy are the bugs like this one....

it is huge! really bad picture of it but we found it outside of our garage!! I think it was a young tarantula but Brandon just thinks it was the biggest spider he had ever seen!!

General Conference!!

I just love general conference!! This session, we stayed home and watched it on TV! We had a lovely array of snacks and ate as we listened! There were a lot of great talks and i learned alot about things i needed to be better at! Coleton loved hearing the choir sing and he would dance to them every chance he got! It was a great two days and we cant wait for the next session in six months!!

Coleton Updates!!

With the move and everything we havent updated on how Coleton is doing....As you can tell his hair was pretty long which we cut over labor day weekend and now is really short but still cute. He also found a tickle me elmo doll at DI and takes it everywhere!! He has a hard time making him laugh unless he jumps on him but he still loves it. When he goes down for a nap he will give him his sippy cup and his extra pacifier and they will nap together. Coleton has done great with the move and is a realy good helper with the tiles being so gross from all of the construction he was helping us scrub them and was doing a pretty good job,

but then he was starting to get water everywhere and made quite the mess but he is fun to have around anyways!!

Last of all since we dont have any locks on the cabinets he found a marker sunday right before church and got himself pretty good. At church evveryone thought that he had a black eye or had gotten a pretty bad gash but really he just had a marker line that i could not seem to get off!!

Everything is in!!

This is an exciting day!! A few days ago Rusty finished painting our basement so we were able to finish the door frames down stairs where we knocked out the wall and get the carpent layed in the basement!!We also got our counter tops installed!!! Which look amazing, but it also means that we got...A running sink which means that we also have a dishwasher that works (which means no more doing dishes in a bucket)!!!!Our kitchen and basement are finally done which means i can cook again and have a play area for Coleton!!! We are getting so close to finishing, i cant wait to see everything done!!

Boy or Girl??

Today was the day of the ultra sound!!! I am 18 weeks and 2 days! (sorry not that cute of picture)We dropped Coleton off two doors down and headed to find out what we were having. They gave us huge print outs and i loved seeing the baby on the screen.
Now what we all have been wondering.. it is a.... BOY!!!
The ultra sound tech said that everything looks great the baby has everything that he needs all organs are there and working like they are suppose to. The baby has not been very active but i am sure that will change. As for now i cant plan on having two little boys running around the house and cant wait for this little guy to get here!!

Labor Day weekend in the truest form!

This past weekend was quite the weekend. My parents were so sweet to come and help us do some of the huge projects in our house. The were able to come down on a Friday afternoon with a truck load of tools and supplies to get our house looking nice. The big project was installing our new cherry wood cabinets and new stainless appliances. I wanted a electric range so Brandon and my dad had to wire the stove to work where a gas stove had been. We were amazed to find that Coleton could sleep right through all of the drilling, hammering, and sanding. They ran in to some problems when drilling one of the cabinets to the wall when they hit a water line and had a little flood, not to big of a problem if it would not have been Saturday night at nine thirty and home depot is half an hour away and closes at ten. Luckly Brandon made it there in time and got the parts needed to fix it! When they were all in it looked great! We still didnt have a sink, a dishwasher that could be used(since you need a sink to run it) or countertops but they would be installed by the company with in a week and a half. While boys were hard at work, my mom and i were organizing the extra bedroom with all of the boxes and extra stuff which was such a project but by the end of the weekend the room was usable and looked great. We also got all of the cabinets filled with kitchen supplies and the rest of the house cleaned up!My dad was also able to fix my dishwasher so i can wash clothes which was so nice because i had not been able to do laundry for almost three weeks at that point so life was good.By the end of the weekend everyone was exausted but the house looked great!! They did so much to get us organized, cleaned, and confident that we would be able to finish the house with only a few small projects.
We are so grateful for all of the help we have received from our families. We know we could not have done things with out them!!

We're Pregnant!

We are pregnant!!!!!!! After we have been trying got the past seven months we are finally pregnant! We actually found out while we were at the Comstock reunion. I had been sick all day so I had to take three test before i believed it because the first one i took turned out like this... I took a picture of the test weeks later so you can kind of see the second mark now but if you will notice the constant one (which you are suppose to compare the other to) is missing so i read it wrong. I actually had it up side down so i read it as "not pregnant" because i was in a hurry (since i was sharing the bathroom with another family) I can now claim that i was that 1 in 4 women who read a pregnancy test wrong:) After being devistated that i again was not pregnant Brandon convinced me that i needed to take another and come to find out i was pregnant!! Anyways i am due February 17th and am about 16 weeks along!! I had my first doctors appointment today (took me awhile to get a doctor with the move) and he says everything looks great and the baby and i are doing good so not much to report on. I go in, in two weeks to find out what i am having and i am so excited!!!!!
