Brookie's 3rd Birthday

With all the craziness, we went simple this year, rootbeer floats with toothpicks as candles, a dinosaur pinata, and for Brooklyn a docMcStuffins bike!! We celebrated both kids since Hayden had such a unique birthday!

Haydens 5th Birthday, from the ward!

Couldn't be more impressed with my ward.  When I had to take Carly to the hospital in the middle of church they took my kids home and cared for them for the evening, brought over dinner, and perhaps most impressively, when they realized it was Hayden's birthday and we wouldn't be there, they threw him a party, complete with decorations, a cake, and even scrounged up some gifts.
It's been a tough week but I've never felt so loved.  Thanks Mulberry Ward!

Haydens' 5th Birthday

Today is my little guys birthday!! With the craziness of this week, I was hoping to pass off that tomorrow is his birthday but he is a smart one and came to me as I laid in bed this morning and asked "mom, is today my birthday?" I didn't have the heart to lie to him so I told him it was but said since I had been sick the past few days I don't have a special birthday cake or any decoration for his special day! as I laid their feeling like a horrible parent he just smiled at me and said "it's ok mom, we can celebrate it tomorrow" He is such a sweetheart and I just love seeing is goofy smile everyday!! Happy fifth birthday Hayden!!

Pregnant with Kidney Stones

Last night was a fun one for us! After a quick onset of horrible side and back pain, we headed to the hospital to find that at 31 weeks pregnant, I have kidney stones!! Though we are still at the hospital being monitored, I am so grateful for modern medicine because, wow!, has the pain been intense but with good doctors and nurses and really strong medicine, I am surviving :) thanks Melanie Layton and Joleen for stepping up and helping with our kids!!
