New Callings!
Things really got changed up in our ward! Brandon has been the ward employment specialist and Priesthood fourth Sunday teacher for the past three years and i have been the Young Women's 2nd councilor for the past two years but this week we were released! I was thinking that i would be put into the primary which was terrifying me but shockingly i was put in as the Laurel Advisor! I was really excited! Brandon was very excited to be released even though he helped so many people with resumes but he was put in as Young Mens first councilor! He is so excited! Hes got camp-outs, shooting activities, service projects, and so much more and he cant wait to get into it! The tricky spot is Brandon and I both teach on Sundays so having to juggle Brooklyn and the boys bathroom breaks makes it busy. Also, We both have to be at mutual on Tuesday nights but i was told by the Bishop since Brandon is in the presidency he needs to be there i am to be home with the kids :( darn but i have already been in YW for quite a while so now its Brandon's turn which is fine with me! Here's to a new adventure for the both of us!

Implant
This past week, i finally went into the facial surgeon to have a consultation on getting my implant done. I have been putting it off for over a year because i have been nervous to do it. I decided to go to cedar so i would be able to have Brandon's mom watch the kids so i went to Dr. Shawn Davis and he was so impressive! When i went in i was telling him how nervous i was and that was the only thing that was stopping me. I asked him when i could get it done and he he said "well how about we do it right now?" I thought he was being funny but he wasn't! He really took me back into the procedure room and finished the whole implant with in ten minutes! I left with mouth wash and pain meds and drove myself home! It was impressive! After i got home i took one pill but i didn't even need it and the next morning these were delivered to my door!
I also got a get well card from the hygienist in the mail! I hope i never have to get another implant done but if i do these are the guys!

The Boys
Here are just a few pictures of what the boys have been up to!
Boys working on the pinewood derby cars for the Cheney family reunion!
Coleton was super excited to work on his own car!
Hayden loved painting his car all by himself!
Coleton painted his whole car orange and when we asked him what he wanted to name it he said "race-car!" yay for originality!
We had Coleton's race-car, Hayden's crazy paint, Brandon's rusty rocket, and my "maximum horse power" car!
Coleton is such a funny little boy! He has Brandon's sense of humor and thinks he is so funny! He just started an online preschool (upstart) and is loving it! He has only been doing it for a few weeks but already has learned more then i expected!
Hayden is a goof! He still is a crazy milk drinker and loves his Dora the explorer! He is trying to be so independent and is favorite phrases is "I DO IT!" i find my self reopening doors that i have closed because he wanted to do it and to avoid the melt down i let him! He gets more cuts and bruises then i thought was possible for a toddler, the other day he fell in to a rose bush and has cuts all up and down him not counting the bruises from falling all of the time!
This is one of my favorite sights!
Two boys fast asleep!! The seem to get crazier by the day but they are fun and even more fun when they are asleep!

My First Rodeo
I did something that i never thought i would do... ride in the rodeo! During memorial weekend, we took the boys to Hanna Christensen's house to ride some horses. We thought it would be a fun family activity and it was but while i was there i told the family that i really had never rode a horse more then two maybe three times and honestly they were shocked half. Dave (the owner of the horses) had me hop back on and wanted me to trot. It was so scary but so much fun. He told me that Hanna, his daughter, would start training in a few weeks to run barrels at the rodeo and he said if i was interested in training with her, i could run the barrels in the rodeo. Going home i kind of laughed thinking of me riding in the rodeo! After we took a little trip with Brandon's family to Colorado, i went on a little ride with Hanna again. Once again she tried to convince me to train with her. I really wanted to but how do i leave my three children (one being four months old) to go train three days a week three hours a training?? Brandon, had been trying for a long time to get me a hobby so he said maybe this would be "my thing" so we talked it over and decided to give it a try! During the summer i trained in the mornings and once school started i trained at nights and it was a blast! Hanna just started her senior year of high school so she is just filled with lots of funny stories and situations so it was a lot of fun to be with her! We started training the first week in July and i started from scratch learning how to saddle a horse, how to clean her shoes, brush her, feed her, walk, trot and finally a run! It was so scary and there were days training were i really thought i was going to die but it was an amazing experience!
Saturday, September 1st was the rodeo (also Hanna's 18th birthday)
I was so nervous! Here is me with my horse Rose! I had Brandon and the kids, Brandon's parents, and my brother Curtis and his family there to see me run not counting all the ward members who came, who would have thought a lot of people went to the rodeo! (in this picture the house directly behind me and to the left is the front of our house :)
First Barrel
Here was me running to the second barrel
Third Barrel
Running Home!
Finished! I wish i could say i won my division but sadly that didn't happen! I did get third though! Hanna actually did not do as well as she expected. Bandit went crazy and would not run the pattern so she hit about 52 seconds. I did an amazing 35.28 seconds! OK, that's not that fast of a time but i felt pretty good for my first time!
I owe Brandon so much for helping me to get to the rodeo! He watched the kids three times a week for three hours each time and there were many nights were he put all the kids to bed while i was training! He was so excited to have me run it and it made it so much more fun! I could never have done it with out him!
Hanna and I on the night of the rodeo!
Here are the boys! They had there cowboy hats on to cheer me on! It was a fun night and i wish i could have done another round but i wont get another chance til the next peach days rodeo!
