She is finally here! I really didnt think that getting my membranes stripped would put me in to labor but it sure did! After getting my membrane stripped the first time, I started cleaning the house and boy was i having major pressure! I wasnt feeling any contractions but i was definately hurting so i decided to keep cleaning and walking hoping that it would start me in to labor. Well after about 4 hours of this painful pressure, we hoped in the car drove the 30 minutes to the hospital to have the pressure stop! How frustrating!! I knew that i had an appointment the next day so we just headed home hoping that i had at least dialated from it. The next day, I had my appointment at 11:30am to get my membranes stripped the 2nd time. The boys were at Brandons parents where they had spent the night and they were planning on dropping them off at our house about 5pm if nothing happened. At the appointment the dr said i had dialated to a 5 and that if i felt that same pressure to head into the hospital (though he didnt know if they would keep me!) After my appointment, i met Brandon in st george where the hurricane High School was having a championship game so i went with him since i didnt have any children to get home to! While sitting in the stands, i started feeling contractions but they were about 35 minutes apart. After the game had finished and i only had 4 contractions, we decided to head home but decided to call brandons parents to let them know that something might be happening? After being home for about 2 hours we decided to head to the hospital. We were not sure if they would keep me since my contractions were about 20-25 minutes apart. After they checked me and i told them i have a tendancy to dialate quickly and i lived 30 minutes away so they kept us!! They started me on pitocin since my contractions were so far apart and i was still dialated to a 5. By the time i was admitted and put in a room, it was about 8pm and we just waited! I got an epidural and we watched some TV!

After a few hours of waiting, i had dialated fully and was ready to push so we just waited for the Dr to get there since the head was already crowning! My the time he arrived it was about 11:45pm and he gave us the option to choose which day would be her birthday. I was really wanting to wait the few minutes to have her on February 24th but i had a spot on my right side that was not being numbed by my epidural so we decided to get her out quick! After getting set up, we started pushing at 11:50 and she was born 6 minutes later!! i was so glad to hear that i didnt tear which has made the recovery so much better!

She was born February 23rd, 2012

Weighing 7lbs 9oz

Measuring 20 3/4 inches long

She has really pretty pink color and she seems to not have jaundice which both my boys had.

She was not due until March 11th (10th if you calculate leap year) making her 16 days early!!

She was perfectly healthy with no problems!

We named her Brooklyn but she does not have a middle name, we figured we would keep the tradition going since Brandons mom and most of my family do not have middle names.

Like my other two, she doesnt cry much and is very content unless you give her a bath.

It was cute to see the little pink bow that the nurses put on her, which is so different to see!

She has been doing really well and we are glad that she is here! Welcome to the family Brooklyn!
