Welcome Brooklyn Comstock!

She is finally here! I really didnt think that getting my membranes stripped would put me in to labor but it sure did! After getting my membrane stripped the first time, I started cleaning the house and boy was i having major pressure! I wasnt feeling any contractions but i was definately hurting so i decided to keep cleaning and walking hoping that it would start me in to labor. Well after about 4 hours of this painful pressure, we hoped in the car drove the 30 minutes to the hospital to have the pressure stop! How frustrating!! I knew that i had an appointment the next day so we just headed home hoping that i had at least dialated from it. The next day, I had my appointment at 11:30am to get my membranes stripped the 2nd time. The boys were at Brandons parents where they had spent the night and they were planning on dropping them off at our house about 5pm if nothing happened. At the appointment the dr said i had dialated to a 5 and that if i felt that same pressure to head into the hospital (though he didnt know if they would keep me!) After my appointment, i met Brandon in st george where the hurricane High School was having a championship game so i went with him since i didnt have any children to get home to! While sitting in the stands, i started feeling contractions but they were about 35 minutes apart. After the game had finished and i only had 4 contractions, we decided to head home but decided to call brandons parents to let them know that something might be happening? After being home for about 2 hours we decided to head to the hospital. We were not sure if they would keep me since my contractions were about 20-25 minutes apart. After they checked me and i told them i have a tendancy to dialate quickly and i lived 30 minutes away so they kept us!! They started me on pitocin since my contractions were so far apart and i was still dialated to a 5. By the time i was admitted and put in a room, it was about 8pm and we just waited! I got an epidural and we watched some TV!After a few hours of waiting, i had dialated fully and was ready to push so we just waited for the Dr to get there since the head was already crowning! My the time he arrived it was about 11:45pm and he gave us the option to choose which day would be her birthday. I was really wanting to wait the few minutes to have her on February 24th but i had a spot on my right side that was not being numbed by my epidural so we decided to get her out quick! After getting set up, we started pushing at 11:50 and she was born 6 minutes later!! i was so glad to hear that i didnt tear which has made the recovery so much better! She was born February 23rd, 2012Weighing 7lbs 9ozMeasuring 20 3/4 inches longShe has really pretty pink color and she seems to not have jaundice which both my boys had.She was not due until March 11th (10th if you calculate leap year) making her 16 days early!!She was perfectly healthy with no problems!
We named her Brooklyn but she does not have a middle name, we figured we would keep the tradition going since Brandons mom and most of my family do not have middle names. Like my other two, she doesnt cry much and is very content unless you give her a bath.It was cute to see the little pink bow that the nurses put on her, which is so different to see!She has been doing really well and we are glad that she is here! Welcome to the family Brooklyn!

Little Update!

Today i had a drs appointment... today is the day they stripped my membranes i was still at a four and the baby was still low but as of now i am not feeling much! It hurt like heck to have him strip them but hopefully it will get something started soon. The dr said at the appointment that am a perfect canidate for this to work and if my body is ready it will start contractions, though i know i have a while til my due date, i can still hop if nothing happens today i go in for another appoinment tomorrow morning early. Brandons parents took them to there house just incase this does put me in labor and they will bring them home tomorrow evening if nothing happens. So for now off i go to get my house clean. After new beginnings it has been a tad neglected but i will have sometime to get it cleaned!

Setting Sail to a New Beginnings!

Since i was put in as 2nd Councilor over a year ago, i have never had to be in charge of a big event, yet, until last night!! I was in charge of the New Beginnings program and boy did i stress over what to do. My mom gave me a great idea about it being a pirate theme night and talking about the "Treasures we recieve through the YWs program" After a lot of work here is what we did... I had some great decoration that i borrowed from my mom, that she had used for reunion decorations and shopped on oriental trading! We ordered a pirate ship cake from the store and it was amazing and the girls loved it. It was only ten dollars more then a plain white sheet cake so i figured i couldnt go wrong! We had treasure maps on every table the the girls followed to three different rooms where we had speakers talking about the treasures we recieve through personal progress, 2012 mutual theme, and girls camp! Then after introducing all the new girls we closed and had refreshments it went so well!! The girls dressed up in white shirts and black pants. They all got to take a treasure chest home that had a poem that Brandon wrote and little jewels that were the colors of the YW values.

I have a set of treasures, each is valuable to me

And once you take a look at them I think that you’ll agree

That each one truly lives up to the name that it’s received

and ”value” is the word the best describes each one indeed

The plastic treasures in this box, aren’t those of which I speak

But each stone, with it’s special color, helps me get through each week

The white one is for faith in God -Divine Nature is Blue

The purple stone –integrity- Reminds me to be true

Gold is virtue – truly hard to find upon the earth

It helps me to retain the red stone- individual worth

The orange stone, reminds me that with every step I take

That I must be accountable, for choices that I make

Knowledge is the green stone – I seek it along the way

And strive to use the yellow stone, with good works every day

You too can have the treasures that I hold so very dear

If you will simply trust the Lord, and cast aside your fear

For if you do these things will come to be a part of you

And you can truly come to see why there called “values” too

-Brandon Comstock –I could not have done it with out my beehive presidency, my advisors, Brandon, and mostly my mom who helped with decorations, consulting, and the main idea! I am so glad that the night is over and that it went so well and i am glad that i dont have to plan another big event for another year and a half!!

Coleton and Penacilin don't mix!

This past week Coleton started to get sick. After a few days of him not feeling well we decided to take him to the instacare. We found that he had strep throat again (it being the 2nd time this year) It being closer to my due date i asked that he be given the shot instead of the oral antibiotics since it is always a fight to get him to take them. They gave him the shot like they did the last time he had strep throat and for the next couple of days coleton would not walk claiming that his leg hurt. They told me that it was painful to get the shot but Coleton being dramatic i figured it would fade after a few days. He got the injection on Tuesday and on Saturday this is what we found.... Coleton said that it hurt and itched really bad so we decided to take him to the instacare again to see what they thought. We got there and found that his temp was 102* and decided to put him on another 10 day oral antibiotic. Coleton has now had to be held down and forced to take it but hopefully he will start getting better soon!

Haydens 2yr Appointment and Carleens 37 weeks!

Today Hayden and i had Dr appointments!! He had his 2 year and here are his stats!!
Weight- 32lbs 89%
Height- 37in 98%

The Dr said he is doing great! He is a healthy big boy! He never cried when they looked at him but he was quite upset when they gave him his shot but luckly it was just one!!

I also had my appointment since we have the same dr. and today they checked me for the first time!! I always hate being checked because its so painful but i was happy when he told me that i was dialated to a 4!! He also said the baby is Very low and that he would not be surprised if i went in to labor this week but i have my next appointment on Wednesday where he will strip my membranes! He thinks it will put me into labor by Wednesday afternoon and if it doesnt he will have me come back the next day to get them stripped again since he will be leaving out of town the next week and doesnt want ot miss my labor!! Lets hope that works!
Here is my 37 week shot!

I am so looking forward to having this baby. It seems like i have had so many more problems and i am ready for that to end. I have been having contractions for weeks now and have been having problems with my gallbladder this pregnancy. There has also been more swelling and gaining much more weight than past pregnancies. I never realized how having a girl would change my pregnancy so dramatically, i hope that it is not the foreshadowing of a drama filled little girl! Hopefully it will only be a week or so and i will get to hold her in my arms!

Haydens 2nd Birthday!

He Turned Two!!
We had a little party for Hayden after the baby shower since we would already have Brandons family down! I was not feeling so well that day so i didnt take much time working on Haydens cake but he loved it anyways!

We opened a few presents, had some cake, ice cream, and pizza and then let them beat the heck out of a pinata! They loved it and the night went great!! Happy Birthday Hayden!

Brooklyn meets the boys!

The next morning, Brandons family came down to see the new addition. It was going to be the first time the boys would see her so i was really excited! When Hayden was born the swine flu was running wild so they wouldnt let Coleton into the hospital so this time i was really excited to have them come visit!

They were super excited to see her. Coleton was super eager to hold her and was really gentle with her! He would get really close and speak really soft to her then would walk away so that he had room to jump because he was so excited! Hayden on the other hand was interested but quickly distracted by the toys they brought.
Brandons parents and grandparents were able to hold her!

It was really fun to have the family come visit!

Baby Shower!

I was so blessed to have my visiting teacher (Melisa White)and an elderly lady (Sister Jarret)in our ward throw me a baby shower!! I was quite nervous that we would not have many people to come but was amazed when i got there. I was blessed to have over 20 people come to the shower and then we had about 10 others who were unable to make it bring over a gift. We were amazed and felt so loved!!

We played some cute games that were not to crazy and then enjoyed opening gifts while snacking on refreshments!! It was so fun to open all of the pink little bags and i loved organizing every once i got home.

I look forward to dressing her up in everything that i got when ever she gets here!!
