Heading to Kaysville!

The friday before thanksgiving, our little family headed up to Kaysville, Utah for an extended Cheney get together. We were able to see and meet alot of my family and was able to have a little thanksgiving dinner with my siblings since we would not all be together for Thanksgiving so we really had a fun time. Coleton did great on the car ride, he slept the first half(two hours) and then we stopped and saw Brandon mission president, President Rowley half way and then he slept the other half so it was great.
Coleton and I stayed the whole week til thanksgiving. My mom and i made christmas candy, I went dress shopping with Caralee, and coleton loved playing with my dad and his new toys with him. My mom taught Coleton that he had a tongue and he has been playing with it ever since and thinks he is just so funny. Brandon had to come back to Cedar to teach his monday and tuesday classes so tuesday night he came and spent the rest of the week with us. He loved just laying around with Coleton. Then on thanksgiving day we watched the parade on tv, had a great meal, watched a few movies, and took a nap. Coleton was able to have his own personal gerber thanksgiving and loved it! All together it was a great trip and we loved spending it with family!

Our Many Blessings!

When Brandon and I started our adventure together almost 18 months ago, we knew that as we did what we thought the Lord wanted us to do that he would provide away for us. Though i knew that was true i had never had seen it so evident as i have sense we were sealed in the temple. When we got married we had "our" life all planned out. As the Lord has directed us in paths we were not planning on taking we have loved were he has taken us! We never thought that we would be living in Cedar City, have an amazing little boy, or working for CES. We have loved the adventure but of course there are struggles that come with everything. As Brandon and I have struggled with health, shelter, food, finances, and other small necessities, we often layed awake at night wondering how we would make it through up coming months, but i can now say with a full heart that the Lord does provide. We have been blessed with such amazing families and close friends who saw our needs and without a second thought came to help! We have received clothing, toys, food, anonymous gift cards, and even a phone call from family or friends at the perfect time. Though it would be near impossible to begin listing the help we have received from each person because so many have helped us but i hope that the pictures below (though it does not cover all of it by far)will show how much we have been blessed by all of you. Most of you will never know that you were truly answers to prayers but i hope you do know that you have truly been the means of us coming closer to our Heavenly Father. We thank you so much!

Some of you may not understand why some of these pictures are up but for those who put time and money into helping us can recognize how you have helped. Whether by the things we are wearing, toys that are being used, and other things that can and can not be "seen". There are so many more that i dont have pictures of but i hope that you all understand how much we appreciate everything we have been given, thank you so much!

Scary moments!

Its crazy how fast things can change. Brandons parent had gone to California helping Candice while her husband was interviewing for dental schools and Brandon and I were in kaysville for a Cheney family get together. Friday night we got a phone call from Candice at 3am, thinking she was saying she had her little girl but when Brandon answered she was informing us that his dad had had a heart attach and was at the hospital going in for surgery! We sat there for about an hour and a half waiting to know if he was going to make it, what a horrible feeling! Brandon wondered if he was going to see his dad again and we wondered if he would be around to see our kids grow. It was heart wrenching to be so far away and not be there to comfort his mother and sister. We were relieved to know that the surgery went well and that he will be able to come home for the holidays. Life and family is so precious! We hope he knows how special he is to us and am so glad we can be together for the holidays!

Hes seven months!

Hes still growing! We have now reached seven months! He has his own sweet personality that just draw everyone in! We get so many comments about his smile and how happy he is,what they dont know is that he play off other people! In church he will smile and flirt with the people behind us until they play with him and they always do but it is great to know he doesnt mind not being with mom and dad!Though he loves to stand and hold our hands while he walks around but he doesnt like to be on his stomach but i try every chance i get but nothing has happened that would give us the idea that he would crawl:(Even though he doesnt crawl he sure loves to get in his walker and run around the kitchen i give him normal utensils and he seems to love it! What a boy!
This little clip is priceless! He was playing with Brandons mom and was having a great time playing his favorite game, peek-a-boo!

What wont he eat??

Though he has not started to crawl he seems to find everything that he is not suppose to! The other day i sat Coleton on the floor. I thought he was playing with his usual toys but when i looked down this is what i saw......(i took it away as soon as i saw it but gave it back for a second for the picture) It was a note card that i had created my dinner menu on but when i took it, he was only holding half of it. I searched the floor for the other half of the card and to my shock their was not even a little scrap on the floor he completely ATE half of the card!! I could not believe it!!! I was a little worried but i figured that every kid at some point eats paper, i am just grateful he didnt choke on it, i have been alot more careful where i leave my dinner menu too!

I love to see the temple!

This week Brandon and I were able to leave Coleton with Grandma and head to the temple! It was the first time i would be away from Coleton for 5-6 hours and the first time that i would be able to go to the St. George Temple so i was excited! Brandon had not been back to the St. George temple since he got his endowments out there so down we went. We loved being able to just drive up the hill to the Rexburg Temple but St. George was beautiful. We were able to do sealings (since i was not pregnant , i didnt pass out like last time!) which was great. I love being able to go back and listen to the blessings that we were promised by being sealed in the temple. It was a great chance for Brandon and I to spend some time together and Coleton did great with Grandma, he barely noticed we were gone which i was releaved about. I am hoping that since everything went so well we will be able to go to the temple often. Its such a blessing that there are temples all over the world so that no matter were we go or were ever we are, Brandon and I can take the time to go to the temple as a couple, and remember how we can be together forever. I love to see the temple!
